Meet our team

Cénotélie brings together researchers excited by the application of their research results in real-world, high-tech industrial solutions. From this shared vision emerged Cénotélie, the place for the development of a "common intention" ("ceno" + "telicity").

Laurent Wouters

CEO

Image Laurent Wouters

One of the founder of Cénotélie, current CEO, Laurent is a dedicated researcher and trainer. Laurent holds a PhD in the Theory of languages from the University Pierre et Marie Curie (UMPC, Paris). As a researcher, he was particularly interested in understanding how languages and semantics can contribute to efficient digital collaboration and complex systems engineering. He gained a strong teaching experience as a teaching assistant in top universities in Paris, including Ecole Centrale de Paris.

Before founding Cénotélie, Laurent was a researcher in the French public research institutes, such as the CEA where he consolidated his experience as a researcher. Laurent also holds significant experience in industrial settings, primarily in the aerospace and defense sector at Airbus.

Laurent is still active in the day-to-day research activities of Cénotélie, such as the Agricolio platform for crop management using satellite images processing. Laurent is an active contributor to other open-source projects, like Hime, for which he has also developed the Rust runtime.

Diana Penciuc

Training Center Manager, Researcher

Diana is a founder of Cénotélie and current manager of the training center. As such, she oversees the daily operations regarding professional training. Diana holds a PhD in knowledge engineering from the University of Technology of Compiègne. As a researcher, Diana contributes to and oversees Cénotélie's efforts in the domain of Artificial Intelligence, in particular machine learning.

Before joining Cénotélie, Diana was a researcher in French public research institutes, such as IRT SystemX on the Saclay plateau. Diana has gained experience in research applied to industrial context in the transportation industry at Alstom, and through her contribution to the various projects at IRT SystemX.

Diana actively contributes to the core technologies based on machine learning behind the Agricolio platform for crop management using satellite image processing.

Ali Koudri

Researcher

Ali is founder of Cénotélie and a dedicated researcher and trainer. He oversees all operations related to the collaborative engineering scientific domain. Ali holds a PhD from the Université Lille 1. As a researcher, he is interested in the collaborative engineering of complex systems and how its related fields, Model-Based Systems Engineering, the science of collaboration and more. Ali is an experienced trainer in these domains.

Before founding Cénotélie, Ali was a researcher and engineer in French public research institutes, such as the CEA where he consolidated his experience as a researcher. Ali holds long experiences in the aerospace and defense industry, in various entities of the Thales Group. As such, he is acutely aware of the real-world industrial needs regarding the engineering of systems. An experience that he enjoys sharing with students in our professional training courses.

Ali actively contributes to Cénotélie's projects, most notably the e-Collab platform for the collaborative engineering of systems.

Stella Zevio

Researcher

Stella is an enthousiast and dedicated researcher at Cénotélie. She holds a PhD in Computer Science from Sorbonne Paris North University. Stella contributes to Cénotélie's efforts in the domain of Artificial Intelligence, in particular natural language processing and machine learning.

Before joining Cénotélie, Stella worked in various environments such as industry (more precisely in a start-up environment), public French research institutes (CNRS) or international research institutes (Stanford BMIR in California, University of Tsukuba in Japan). She also worked in various application domains such as in the medical field, for digital libraries, agriculture or in expert finding.

Stella actively contributes to the e-Collab platform for the collaborative engineering of systems.

Giorgio Cignitti

Researcher

Image Giorgio Cignitti

Giorgio is currently working as a researcher at Cénotélie. He holds a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Montpellier. His primary focus as a researcher has been studying how brain cells respond to abnormal electrical neuronal activity associated with epilepsy. Throughout his research, he has gained valuable experience in coding by developing tools for data analysis and visualization.

After successfully defending his thesis, Giorgio took a year off to further enhance and consolidate his coding skills, specifically in the field of web application development. He dedicated this time to expanding his knowledge and expertise in order to contribute effectively to the development of web applications.

In addition to his contributions within Cénotélie, Giorgio actively participates in external projects. He is engaged in collaborative efforts with other organizations, leveraging his expertise in data analysis, and coding to contribute to diverse research endeavors.
